You get a practice link. It arrives on the screen straight after
payment — bookmark it. It is how you get back in, so keep it.
Pick a station and read the instructions, exactly as you would
in the two minutes outside the door.
Talk. Allow your microphone, and use headphones — otherwise the
patient hears itself through your speakers.
Seven minutes on the clock, the real station length, with a
half-time marker like the announcement in the exam hall.
Read your report. What you elicited and the question that got it,
what was still in the room, how you asked, and how much of the talking you did.
If something breaks
If a station fails on our side, the credit goes back automatically. If your
connection drops you have ten minutes to rejoin and carry on where you left off,
without paying again. If you barely got started, the credit is returned.
What the report will not do
It will not give you a mark or a band. In the real exam a person judges you against
criteria written for that station, on a four-point scale from Well below
standard to Above standard. We quote that scale in full and show you the
evidence underneath it — but we do not score you, because a number we invented is
something you might then revise against.
Recording
The session is recorded — that is how the report is produced. Improving the AI
using your session is a separate tick that you can decline, and declining
changes nothing about your practice or your report.
What you need
Chrome, Edge or Safari on a laptop. A phone browser will work but is harder.
Headphones. Not optional in practice.
A quiet room — the patient stops listening when you stop talking.
